(A) A weight limitation in the maximum amount of 12 tons (24,000 pounds) is established for County Highway 57. It is unlawful for any person to operate any truck, trailer, machinery, equipment or any motor vehicle having a total weight in excess of 12 tons (24,000 pounds), including any cargo thereon along or upon said Highway 57 at any time.
(B) The County Highway Department is hereby directed to erect or cause to be erected appropriate signs designating said weight limitation at each end of said Highway 57, and in such other places along said highway as deemed appropriate by said Highway Department; and this section shall be effective when signs are placed along and upon the road by the County Highway Department.
