All individuals who construct water wells and install well pumps shall be licensed by the State Department of Public Health in accordance with the Water Well and Pump Installation Contractor’s License Act Chapter III, par. 7101 et seq., latest edition. However, the owner/occupant or lessee/occupant of a single-family residence may construct a water well and/or install a well pump, provided that all work complies with all rules and regulations of the current State Department of Public Health State Water Well Construction Code (77 Ill. Adm. Code 920), and the State Department of Public Health State Water Well Pump Installation Code (77 Ill. Adm. Code 925).
