(A) Payments collected pursuant to this subchapter shall be deposited in a separate fund, designated as the Solid Waste Management Fund, and shall be expended only for solid waste management purposes, including long-term monitoring and maintenance of landfills, planning, implementation, inspection, enforcement, and other activities consistent with the Solid Waste Management Act, being 415 ILCS 20/1 et seq., and the Local Solid Waste Disposal Act, being 415 ILCS 10/1 et seq.
(B) The Agency shall conduct an annual audit of the expenditures made from this fund to ensure that the expenditures have been made for the prescribed purposes.
