(A) For those surface discharging private sewage disposal systems from which effluent enters into waters of the United States, a general NPDES permit must be obtained from the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).
(B) For those surface discharging private sewage disposal systems that require an NPDES permit, a copy of the notice of intent (NOI) and a proof of the certified letter, including date that it was mailed to the USEPA, must accompany the application for the private sewage disposal system.
