For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COMMITTEE. The County Environment, Education, Health, and Welfare (EEHW) Committee of this county.
PLAT or TRACT. A plat of each subdivision and each tract of land as herein defined, having been prepared and sealed by a duly licensed surveyor and having the approval by the proper authorities, shall be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds in the county.
SUBDIVISION OF LAND. The division of a parcel of land into two or more parts for the purpose of transfer of ownership or possession, building development, or any division of land in which a new street or new easement of access is created when appropriate to the content of this chapter, the term shall relate to the process of subdivision, or to the land subdivided, and shall include re-subdivisions.
