(A) Appointment. The County Board Chairperson shall appoint members of the 9-1-1 Board, with the advice and consent of the County Board.
(B) Composition of members. The number of members of the Board shall consist of not fewer than five, one of whom must be a public member who is a resident of the local exchange service territory included in the 9-1-1 coverage area, and at least three of whom shall be representative of the 9-1-1 public safety agencies, including but not limited to police departments, fire departments, emergency medical services providers, and emergency services and disaster agencies, and appointed on the basis of their ability and experience. Elected officials are also eligible to serve on the Board.
(C) Term of office. The term of office of the initial appointees shall be as follows: two members shall serve a term of two years, two members shall serve a term of three years, and the remaining members shall serve a term of four years. All subsequent appointees shall serve a term of four years.
