(A) Body art establishments and body art practitioners practicing within the boundaries of Macon County, Illinois are subject to the rules and regulations set forth by this chapter, Tattoo and Body Piercing Establishment Registration Act (410 ILCS 54/1), and the Illinois Department of Public Health Body Art Code (77 Ill. Adm. Code, § 797.100). This chapter is enacted to establish standards to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the people of the county through regulation of persons owning body art establishments, individuals performing body art procedures, and establishments where body art procedures are performed.
(B) In addition to those provisions set forth herein, this chapter hereby adopts by reference the current edition and any and all subsequent revisions of the Illinois Department of Public Health Body Art Code.
