157.07 APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF BUILDING COMMISSIONER; COMPENSATION.

(a) The Chief Building Commissioner shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Chief Building Commissioner may be removed by Council upon affirmative vote of three-fourths of the members elected to Council.

(b) The Chief Building Commissioner shall receive compensation, payable bi-weekly or as otherwise requested and approved, as is established by the Mayor and approved by a majority of those elected to Council. All members employed in the City Building Department shall be compensated in the same manner.
