153.03 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR PART-TIME FIRE FIGHTERS.

Part-time fire fighters shall be not less than eighteen years of age and must live within a reasonable driving distance to the City as determined by the Fire Chief. Candidates for appointment may be required to undergo a medical and psychological examination and physical agility testing as may be prescribed by the Fire Chief and/or Director of Safety. As a condition of appointment, all part-time fire fighters must hold an EMT (basic) certification from the State of Ohio. Appointments to the position of part-time fire fighter shall be made according to Section 8.05(b) of the Charter.
