Section 10.01 Composition and Term.
   There is hereby created a Planning Commission which shall consist of five (5) electors of the Municipality, not holding other municipal office or appointment, to be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation of the majority of the members elected to Council.
   Terms of current members of the Planning Commission shall remain until expiration of said term(s) at which time the Mayor shall appoint members to term(s) concurrent with the terms of office of the Mayor. A vacancy occurring during the term of any member shall be filled for the unexpired term in the manner authorized for an original appointment. The Commission shall choose a Secretary and such other officers as it shall deem necessary, shall make its own rules and regulations and shall keep a journal of its proceedings. The chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission be elected at the first meeting of each year from its members duly appointed. Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation unless otherwise provided by ordinance. The Commission shall meet at least once a month. A majority of the members of the Commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business and the affirmative vote of three (3) members of the Commission shall be necessary for any official action. A member of the Planning Commission, elected from its own at the first meeting of the year, shall be a non-voting member of the Board of Zoning and Building Code Appeals.
