795.03 REQUIRED SECURITY MEASURES.

   (a)   The operator of any Big Box Retail Business that is open for business in the City is required to provide for the presence of Loss Prevention Personnel as set forth in this Section.

      (1)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 8 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area between 25,000 and 55,000 square feet.

      (2)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 16 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area between 55,000 and 75,000 square feet.

      (3)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 24 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area between 75,000 and 85,000 square feet.

      (4)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 32 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area between 85,000 and 110,000 square feet.

      (5)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 40 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area between 110,000 and 130,000 square feet.

      (6)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 80 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area of 130,000 square feet or more.

      (7)   Employment of a loss prevention officer for a minimum of 120 hours per week for Big Box Retail Businesses having a total gross floor area larger than 130,000 square feet, and that are open more than eighteen hours per day.

   (b)   No Big Box Retail Business shall fail to report incidents of theft or other violations of law to the Macedonia Police Department.

   (c)   Any Big Box Retail Business that is identified as a Retail Security Issue Location shall be required to provide for the presence of no less than one Ohio licensed security guard and/or one armed off duty Macedonia law enforcement officer during all business hours.
