135.06 CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT ASSESSMENT FEES TO SUMMIT COUNTY AND ESTABLISHING THE AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO USE VARIOUS REMEDIES FOR COLLECTION.

   In the event any fee assessed on a property owner by any section of the Codified Ordinances is not paid by the responsible owner within thirty (30) days of the mailing/delivery of an invoice by the City of Macedonia to either the owner or his or her designee, that amount is deemed delinquent and may be forwarded by the Director of Finance to Summit County for placement on the tax duplicate of the subject property and/or placed into collection and/or forwarded to the Department of Law for civil suit. This Authority is granted to the Director of Finance for all assessed fees except criminal fees issued by the Mayor’s Court. In addition to the original amount of the assessment due and owing, the delinquent owner shall also be responsible for any costs incurred by the City for the placement of the delinquency on the tax duplicate and/or the cost of collection and/or costs of the civil suit.
