1365.17 YARD HYDRANTS.

   Any newly constructed commercial building any portion of which is 300 feet or more from the street shall be required to provide a yard hydrant or hydrants as determined by the Fire Chief or Fire Prevention Officer.

   (a)   All yard hydrants shall meet the same standards and match the hydrants existing within the City of Macedonia as to thread size and type, color of paint and make up.

   (b)   All yard hydrants shall be supplied by a minimum eight (8) inch water line.

   (c)   All yard hydrants will be subject to an acceptance test and an annual inspection by the Fire Department. These inspections will be done at no cost to the owner. The owner shall be responsible for repair of the hydrant(s) if it fails to operate correctly.
