153.07 FEES TO BE CHARGED TO THE PARTY RESPONSIBLE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION OR INCIDENT.
   (a)   The Chief of the Macedonia Fire Department, with the approval of the Mayor, is authorized and directed to establish a schedule of fees to be charged to the party responsible for the motor vehicle collision or incident to their insurance carrier when the Division of Fire responds to the scene of an MVA. Fees collected shall be for the services rendered including, but not limited to, securing the scene of the accident, the establishment of a safety zone, the extrication of the victims if trapped, providing any fire/medical services and the extinguishment of vehicle fires, as necessary.
   (b)   Upon establishing the schedule of fees as set forth in subsection (a) hereof, the Fire Chief is further authorized to begin invoicing all parties responsible for the MVA or their insurance carriers through the same company under contract with the City that provides EMS billing.
   (c)   The proceeds from the MVA fire services billing shall be placed into a special fund that will be used exclusively for Macedonia Fire Department operations.
