146.01 PURPOSE.

   (a)   Citizens and organized volunteer groups desire on occasion to contribute their time, energy and/or resources to the City of Macedonia to an individual program or particular department. The purpose of this Chapter is to establish standards to those individuals and organized groups so as to utilize their good intentions in the best manner possible while at the same time protecting those individuals and groups as well as the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and employees and assets of the City of Macedonia. It should never be thought that the purpose of this Chapter is to impair or inhibit the generosity of our citizenry, but rather to channel and direct it for the most productive result.

   (b)   This Chapter doesn’t apply to coaches, assistants, or other volunteers who are under the authority or direct control of any City run program or activity.
