1365.16 DEMOLITION INSURANCE.
   If, in the opinion of the Building Commissioner any building to be demolished is so located that it may cause damage to public or private property or persons, he shall require any applicant for a permit to demolish such structure to file with the Inspector a property damage and public liability insurance policy, issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in the State and approved as to form by the Law Director. Such policy shall have liability limits of not less than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) and shall indemnify the City for any damage the City may sustain by reason of damage or injury to any highway, street or alley, sidewalk, fire hydrant or other property of the City, which may be caused by or be incidental to the demolition of any structure, and to indemnify the City against any claim of damages to persons or private property.
