929.02 PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (a)    No permit shall be issued by any official of the City to any person, firm or corporation to construct within the City or occupy the streets and public ways or other public property within the City with high voltage transmission lines, gas lines, petroleum products lines, water lines or other similar lines, designed and constructed for the transportation of bulk quantities of electric power, natural gas, petroleum products, water or similar products, unless such lines are located within a utility corridor as shown on the Zoning Map.
 
   (b)   Upon application by any utility, the public official having jurisdiction thereof, shall approve or reject the same in writing to the applicant within thirty days.
   (c)    This chapter is not intended to regulate local service lines providing any of the above products to residents of the City.
