921.01 NONRESIDENT TAP-IN FEES.
   (a)    A person residing outside the City limits may apply for a water service connection permit for the purpose of tapping into a City waterline. Such permit shall be granted upon a determination by the Mayor or his designated representative that such connection is not inconsistent with the efficient utilization of the City system for the primary benefit of the residents of the City.
   (b)    Any such person tapping into a City waterline pursuant to subsection (a) hereof, shall be charged the following fees before issuance of a permit, in addition to any necessary inspection charges generally applicable to such tap-in if performed within the City, and in addition to any charges made by the Water Department of the City of Cleveland:

      (2)    Multi-family dwellings shall pay the following water service tap-in fees only regardless of size of pipe used:

      (3)    Where a service connection shall be used exclusively to provide water for firefighting purposes, the water service tap-in fees shall be as follows:

      (4) CHARGE PER FRONT FOOT
         Before a water service connection permit may be issued to any nonresident of the City, a charge of ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50) per front foot of width of such nonresidents' property shall be paid, unless such person has been specially assessed for the installation of the water main in front of the property.
   (c)    Moneys collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited in a separate and distinct fund designated for the maintenance, operation and/or construction of the wafer system. (Ord. 66-1982. Passed 11-15-82.)
