The electrical commission shall recommend safe and practical standards and specifications for the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment. They shall supervise the making of electrical inspections, and shall determine that there shall be compliance with all regulations provided in the electrical code (title 12, chapter 5 of this code), and: (1965 Code § 2-4-2; amd. 2009 Code)
A. They shall periodically study various regulations and determine the adequacy of same to protect the residents of the village.
B. They shall approve the qualifications of applicants for registration and licensing within the village and may require applicants to submit to examination as to knowledge and fitness to engage in the business of electrical contractor. (1965 Code § 2-4-2)
