A. Board Created; Membership; Officers: There is hereby created a Lyons recreation board which shall consist of seven (7) members. A member of the board shall serve as chair, and another member shall serve as secretary. (1965 Code § 2-9-1)
B. Appointment; Terms: The members, chair and secretary of the recreation board shall be appointed by the village president with the advice and consent of the board of trustees to the following terms: two (2) for one year; two (2) for two (2) years; three (3) for three (3) years. The successor for each term shall serve for a term of five (5) years, or the same member shall serve for a five (5) year term if reappointed.
