A. There is hereby created a Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The Village President, with the consent of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint the board which shall consist of three (3) members whose terms of office shall be three (3) years, and until their respective successors shall be appointed and qualified. B. The Village President shall appoint the first members of the board. One of the members shall be appointed to serve until the end of the current Municipal year, the second member to serve until the end of the second Municipal year, and the third member to serve until the end of the third Municipal year.
