All electrical wiring, installation of electrical fixtures, apparatus or electrical appliances for furnishing light, heat, power or other electrical work introduced into or placed in or upon, or in any way connected on any building or structure within the limits of the village shall be in conformity with the provisions set forth in the Chicago electrical code 2000, as amended, which is hereby adopted as the electrical code of the village, and a copy of which is on file in the village offices.
