11-3-2: CROSS CONNECTIONS RESTRICTED:
   A.   No person shall connect, maintain a connection or allow a connection of a private water system to the public water system in the village without the knowledge and approval of the code enforcement officer, and all such connections shall be subject to inspection pursuant to the Illinois plumbing code at the time that a connection is made and thereafter as provided in this chapter.
   B.   No connection to the public water system shall be allowed in the village unless:
      1.   An approved water meter is installed;
      2.   The connection is made at the point of the installed water meter;
      3.   The connection is made with an approved cross connection control device installed at the water meter connection; and
      4.   The connection is otherwise established and maintained in compliance with the Illinois plumbing code.
   C.   No water from a private water system shall be allowed to enter a public water system regardless of the connection used. (Ord. 07-15-08-02, 7-15-2008)
