11-2-1: DEFINITIONS:
Unless otherwise expressly stated or the context clearly indicates a different intention, the following terms shall, for the purpose of this chapter, have the meanings indicated in this section:
SERVICE PIPE: Any pipe which is installed for the purpose of connecting the water mains of the village to the individual premises where water conveyed there is to be consumed.
SEWER CONNECTION: That part of the sewerage system extending from the sewer main into the premises served.
SEWER MAIN: That part of the sewerage system intended to serve more than one sewer connection.
WATER MAIN: All that part of that water distribution system consisting of pipes and fittings used for the purpose of or in connection with the transmission of water from the source thereof to the service pipes of the water users of the system. (1965 Code § 5-2-1)
