1-7-6: RECORDS:
   A.   Boards And Commissions, Certified Record: Every board and commission created by the board of trustees shall keep a true and accurate record of all its proceedings. A copy of this record, certified by the clerk of the board or commission or by two (2) members thereof, shall be filed with the village clerk and shall become part of the records of the village. (1965 Code § 1-6-8)
   B.   Tape Recordings: All tape recordings made by village boards and village commissions of their meetings are for assistance in transcribing minutes and are not the official record of the village. Minutes prepared from these tapes will be approved by a majority vote of the board or commission and are the official village records. Recording tapes may be disposed of by the village after the minutes have been approved by the board or commission. (1965 Code § 1-6-8; amd. 2009 Code)
