7-5-3-2: DEFINITIONS:
For the purposes of this section 7-5-3, the following definitions shall apply:
LEGAL GUARDIAN: Shall include a person appointed guardian or given custody of a minor by a circuit court of this state, but does not include a person appointed guardian, or given custody of a minor under the Illinois juvenile court act 1 .
MINOR: A person who has attained eleven (11) years of age, but who has not yet reached eighteen (18) years of age.
PERSON: Shall include any individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind, the state of Illinois or any political subdivision.
PROPERTY: Shall include any real estate including improvements thereon, and tangible personalty. (1965 Code § 9-1-51)
