A. Participation In State Programs: The village hereby elects to participate in the programs provided for in the Illinois fire protection training act 1 .
B. Fire Certification Required: As a firefighter, an individual must be certified by the Illinois state fire marshal as firefighter II and as having successfully completed an approved training course as provided in said act. The firefighter II training must be completed by the trainee within his/her probationary period.
C. EMT Certification Required: All personnel having ambulance related duties must be certified as an EMT "A" (emergency medical technician ambulance) by the Illinois department of public health. Such training and certification must be completed by the trainee within his/her probationary period. (1965 Code § 8-1-5)
