5-3-3: ABATEMENT; ASSESSMENT OF COSTS:
   A.   Abatement Authorized: The fire chief or his delegate shall cause any unauthorized deposit of hazardous material on or in any property or village owned public building or facility to be removed therefrom in a manner consistent with applicable federal and state law as soon as possible. (1965 Code § 8-5-3)
   B.   Liability For Costs:
      1.   Any person responsible for any unauthorized placement, spill or other deposit of any hazardous material shall be liable for the payment of all costs of removal thereof, including, but not limited to, labor costs, administrative costs and disposal costs.
      2.   Such payment shall be made within thirty (30) days after service of an invoice therefor by the village.
      3.   The assessment by the village of costs hereunder shall be in addition to any other remedies or penalties provided by this code or federal or state law. (1965 Code § 8-5-4)
