A. Except as otherwise authorized by the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (720 ILCS 570/) (“Act”), it shall be illegal for any person to possess a Controlled Substance as defined in Section 102 of the Act.
B. Any violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine of not less than three hundred and fifty dollars ($350.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). Each day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense.
C. The provisions of this section shall not be considered to be a limitation on the enforcement of the Act or any other statute regulating the sale, distribution or possession of Controlled Substances. (Ord. 12-07-21-08, 12-7-2021)
