(A) The Department shall be a self-governing body on the following matters:
(1) Rules of eligibility for membership;
(2) Election of officers;
(3) Rules of conduct for its members and monthly meetings; and
(4) Expenditure of its funds for equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the Department.
(B) The Department shall comply with and operate according to all state statutes and codes regulating volunteer fire departments.
