§ 34.02 ADVISORY BOARD ESTABLISHED.
   (A)   An advisory board shall be formed to advise the fire protection territory as to any issues which may arise concerning fire protection in the town and township, to include, without limitation, the expenses of operating and maintaining fire protection services within the territory, including repairs, fees, salaries, rents, supplies, contingencies, purchase of new equipment and other lawful expenses incurred or to be incurred within the territory.
   (B)   The advisory board shall be known as the Fire Protection Advisory Board.
   (C)   The advisory board shall consist of five members who shall each be appointed for a term of two years and shall serve until the expiration of their term. One member of the Board shall be appointed by the Lynnville Volunteer Fire Department, one member shall be appointed by the Township Trustee and three members shall be appointed by the Town Council.
   (D)   If the town or township request advice on issues concerning the fire protection territory, those issues shall be submitted to the Fire Protection Advisory Board in writing. The Fire Protection Advisory Board shall meet at such time and place as it may set, but not later than 14 days after the submission of the issues, to formulate its advice. The Fire Protection Advisory Board shall follow Robert’s Rules of Order in the conduct of its meeting. The Fire Protection Advisory Board shall, after formulating its response to the issue presented, submit to the town and township its written advice concerning those issues. In the alternative, any or all of its members, or its representative, may attend a regular meeting of the Town Council to deliver the advice of the Fire Protection Advisory Board to the town and township.
   (E)   The advisory board has no power to implement its advice and is formed for the sole purpose of providing advice to the fire protection territory.
