The charges for permit, inspection and capacity charges are as follows.
(A) Connection inspection fees. The permit and inspection fee for a private sewage disposal system shall be $200. All applications for a permit for such private systems shall be on forms provided by the town.
(B) Classes of connection fees. The classes of connection fees are the user classes a defined in § 52.45, as follows:
(1) Residential;
(2) Commercial;
(3) Institutional;
(4) Governmental; and
(5) Industrial.
(C) Connection fees.
(1) Residential connection fee.
(a) For the privilege of making a sewer connection from any single-family residence to an existing sanitary sewer suitable for use as a lateral sewer by said single-family residence, the connection fee is $2,000. The charge for said sewer connection shall be paid in full to the Town Sewer Department at the time the application for connection to the sewage works is approved.
(b) Multi-family units shall be $2,000 per unit (for each dwelling unit).
(c) Mobile home parks shall be $1,500 per lot.
(d) Individual mobile homes on residential lots will be treated as single-family residences and shall be $2,000.
(2) Commercial, institutional and governmental connection fee. The connection fee for a commercial, institutional and governmental connection shall be calculated as follows.
(a) Existing structures. Changes in use of existing structures that do not require new construction will not materially change the utilization of plant capacity; therefore, a transfer fee of $50 for commercial business to cover changing billing records will be assessed.
(b) New structures. Any new structure, addition to an existing structure, or demolition and reconstruction of a structure would require the payment of a connection fee. The list of charges is as follows:

Industrial | Industrial connection fees shall be by special permit and shall be based upon the strength of sewage as determined by the Town Council |
Institutional | $2,000 |
(D) Indirect sewer connection fee. Where sewers may hereinafter be constructed by and at the sole cost of a subdivision proprietor or contractor who desires to connect said sewer to the town sewer works, a connection fee in the amount of $1,500 per single-family residential connection shall be charged for making such connection in such platted subdivision. This indirect connection fee shall be in effect for a five-year period only, from and after the date the Town Council accepts the sewer, or a portion thereof, from the developer or contractor.
(E) Cost. If the cost of actual cost of construction is larger than the connection fee provided for hereinabove, then the connection fee shall be the actual cost of construction.
(F) User responsibility. The user shall be responsible for the care, upkeep and maintenance of the sewer line from the tap to the lot, parcel of real estate or building connecting to the sewage works.
