§ 30.17 MANNER OF ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE TOWN COUNCIL.
   (A)   The town has, for many years, held elections for the members of the Town Council by requiring candidates to run from the specific district in which they reside, but are elected by the voters of the whole town.
   (B)   District boundaries were determined in an ordinance passed and approved by the Town Council in special session on February 12, 1901.
   (C)   Town Council minutes and ordinances for the town were destroyed by wind and water, for the period from prior to 1960 to January 1, 1960, and cannot be reconstructed.
   (D)   Any prior ordinances of the town, which provided for the manner of election of members of the Town Council, are hereby ratified and members of the Town Council shall continue to run from the specific district in which they reside and be elected by the voters of the whole town.
