The Director of Finance is authorized to contribute funds to the City's HRA in lieu of an employee's final retirement cash payout. Each employee of the City must file with the Director a written request authorizing contributions to the Health Reimbursement Arrangement and must be eligible for contribution as stated in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Director shall transmit all eligible funds in lieu of retirement payments to the Health Reimbursement Arrangement based on the terms stated within. The Mayor is authorized to enter into any necessary agreements with MidAmerica Administrative & Retirement Solutions, or any other qualified Administrator approved by Council.
