SECTION 2.   VACANCIES IN ELECTIVE OFFICES.
   The office of an elected officer of the City shall become vacant upon his/her death, resignation, or recall pursuant to Section 2 of Article VIII hereof, and may be declared by resolution of the Council if:
   (a)   The elected officer shall not be a registered elector of the City;
   (b)   The elected officer shall not reside in the City, or shall not have resided in the City continuously for a period of one year next preceding his/her election;
   (c)   With regard to a member of Council, that member of Council shall be employed by either the City of Lyndhurst in any position other than member of Council, or with any contiguous municipal corporation, or with any school board or school district serving the City of Lyndhurst;
   (d)   With regard to a ward Councilperson having run for the office of Mayor, on the last day of the year that Councilperson has been a candidate for the office of Mayor.
   (e)   The elected officer shall have any material financial interest in any contract to which the City is a party.
