1387.021 STANDBY POWER SYSTEM REQUIRED.

Every multiple dwelling structure four (4) or more stories in height which has an elevator serving the structure shall have a standby power system set inside the structure, which system shall be powered by fuel other than electricity, and which shall be capable of operating the elevator if there is an electrical failure in the building, or in the surrounding area.
