The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the installation of rapid entry systems, using key boxes, in all commercial and multifamily properties in the City that are protected by an automatic fire alarm system or a fire sprinkler system. Installation of same shall be accomplished within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Fire chief and the Fire Prevention Bureau of the City, not to exceed six months from the adoption of this chapter, unless unusual circumstances require additional time as determined by the Fire Chief and the Fire Prevention Bureau of the City.
