960.02 SKATEBOARD PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS.
   The following rules and regulations shall govern use of the Skateboard Park in the City:
   (a)   This is a high-risk activity and may result in accident or injury, therefore, use of this facility is at your own risk. Users accept such liability and all risk when using this facility;
   (b)   Only one (1) person at a time allowed on equipment;
   (c)   Fair weather use only. Area closed if wet, icy or snowy at any time at the discretion of the City;
   (d)   Maintain all surfaces free of litter;
   (e)   No boom boxes or offensive language permitted;
   (f)   No food, drink or smoking permitted; no glass containers of any kind permitted;
   (g)   Required safety equipment (not provided by the City) which must be worn at all times: tennis or rubber-soled shoes (no bare feet), helmet, elbow and kneepads;
   (h)   Recommended safety equipment (not provided by the City): shoulder and hip pads and wrist supports;
   (i)   Bicycles, scooters, and other vehicles are to remain outside the fenced area.
   (j)   Know your ability, skate safely.
   (k)   All users are responsible for providing their own skateboard, skates, or equipment and for insuring that they are maintained in good working condition;
   (l)   The Municipality reserves the right to prohibit use of the facility for individuals who are rowdy, abuse the facility or do not obey the rules and regulations;
   (m)   Hours of permitted use of the Skateboard Park shall be posted at the Park but are subject to change, without notice, at the sole discretion of the City;
   (n)   No make-shift items or modifications to existing equipment are permitted;
   (o)   In an emergency 911 should be contacted immediately and without delay;
   (p)   Skateboard Park shall not be used when it is closed.
   These rules and regulations are subject to change, including the addition of new rules and regulations, at any time at the sole discretion of the City. All users must comply with all rules and regulations in effect at any given time including any new or additional rules and regulations that may be adopted by the City. The Mayor and/or the Service Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause the aforesaid rules and regulations to be posted at the entrance to the Skateboard Park and shall further be responsible for opening and closing the Skateboard Park according to the hours of operation specified in this chapter, in general, which days and hours of operation may be changed, without notice, at the discretion of the Mayor and/or Service Director. At all times that the Skateboard Park is not in operation, the Park shall be closed and locked.
