925.03 SPECIFICATIONS.
   (a)   Specifications for Joints for Sanitary and Storm House Connections. The materials used for jointing clay pipe used for sanitary and storm house connections shall be composed of natural rubber, neoprene or plasticized resins of polyvinyl chloride with characteristics similar to those of rubber, or rubber used in conjunction with epoxy resins, polyvinyls or sulphur silica, or other suitable combinations of such materials as approved by the Building Commissioner. The respective components of the jointing connections which are designed to be affixed to the pipe shall be so bounded at the factory. All jointing materials included under this specification shall comply with the specifications of the American Society for Testing and Materials (A.S.T.M.) for vitrified clay pipe joints, using materials having resilient properties, designation C 425-58T, and any amendments thereto. The lubricant which may be required shall be as furnished or recommended by the manufacturer of the jointing material.

   (b)   Specifications for Stoppers for Sanitary and Storm Sewer Test Tees. Risers for test tees for all sanitary and storm sewer house connections shall be closed at the top with a cast-iron stopper. Cast-iron stoppers shall be manufactured from gray cast-iron, conforming to American Society for Testing and Materials (A.S.T.M.) Specification A-48-56, and any amendments thereto. Stoppers shall be three-eighths inch thick. Edges shall be chipped and ground. Stoppers for six-inch risers shall have a diameter of seven and one-half inches. Stoppers for five-inch risers shall have a diameter of six and one-half inches. Risers for the test tees shall be at or within six inches of the finished grade.

   (c)   Lengths of Clay Pipe Used for Sanitary and Storm Sewer House Connections. All vitrified clay pipe used for sanitary and storm sewer house connections shall be in lengths of not less than three feet.
