765.03 INVESTIGATION; LICENSE ISSUANCE OR REFUSAL; DISPLAY.
   (a)   Upon receipt of an application for a license required by this chapter, the Chief of Police shall cause an investigation to be made to determine the lawfulness of the applicant's business enterprise and to determine if the applicant or any person having a financial interest in the business enterprise has been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude, violence or a theft offense.
   (b)   Based upon such investigation, the Chief of Police shall approve or disapprove the application and shall notify the applicant by certified mail of his or her decision. If the application is approved, the Chief shall issue a license.

   (d)   The license must be so placed at the business location as to be conspicuously visible. (Ord. 81-15. Passed 5-4-81.)
