When permitted by the Building Commissioner or the Board of Zoning Appeals, upon finding compliance with the requirements hereof, outdoor sales shall be conducted in the areas in the rear of the buildings on the applicant's premises, except where the physical characteristics of the property are such that it is difficult to conduct the sales at the rear of the building. In such latter event, the sales may be permitted only if sufficiently screened in residential areas or alleys abutting residential areas so as not to affect the character thereof. Illumination shall provide no glare to the premises and noise shall be confined to the premises of the charitable or religious organization.
