(a) No person shall give any person a challenge to fight in the ring (commonly called prize fighting), either in writing or verbally, whether such challenge is given or sent to any person residing in the City or elsewhere, or make an agreement with anyone to fight with or without a ring, as aforesaid, or act as second, friend or abettor in any such fight, or assist in any way in getting up such fight, or encourage the same by taking any part in or by furthering the preliminary arrangements therefor, whether such projected fight is for reward or without reward in any way. No person shall train and prepare any person for a fight with any other person, whether such fight is to take place in the City or elsewhere.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
