648.10 BLOWING OF STEAM WHISTLE PROHIBITED; EXCEPTIONS.
   (a)   No person shall blow or cause to be blown, within the City, the steam whistle of any stationary engine as a signal for commencing or suspending work or for any other purpose, except as specified in division (b) hereof.
   (b)   Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting the use of steam whistles as alarm signals in case of fire or collision, or other imminent danger, nor the necessary signals by the engines of the Fire Department of the City.

    (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
