642.31 FRAUD IN RELIGIOUS SERVICES AND FACILITIES.
   (a)   No person, in the promotion of his or her own interest to derive pecuniary benefit, gain or profit, for himself or herself for any other person, other than a religious association or corporation, shall sell or offer to sell tickets for admittance to, or for participation in, services purporting to be in accordance with the precepts of any recognized religious creed or faith. No person shall make any fraudulent representation as to the nature of the services to be conducted at any place designated or intended to be a house of worship or as to the manner in which such services are to be conducted thereat or as to the facility for worship therein or as to the persons engaged to conduct such services.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
