At the request of the Director of Service, the Director of Safety shall cause signs to be erected upon streets or parts of streets when such streets or parts of streets are about to be cleaned or are being cleaned of dirt, rubbish or snow, or when any improvement in or upon such street or part of such street is about to be or is being installed or repaired, or when any tree within such street or part of such street is about to be or is being sprayed, trimmed or removed. When such signs have been erected, no person shall park a vehicle during the time when any work is being done on such street or part of such street, or about to be done in the case of snow cleaning and removal. The police may cause such improperly parked vehicles to be towed away and stored at the expense of the owner or operator as provided in Section 404.05.
