3-1-1: PURPOSE:

A business permit shall be granted and a business permit fee shall be levied, collected, and regulated as provided in this chapter for the purpose of assuring compliance with existing zoning laws, and promoting the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the town. (1987 Code § 5.04.010)
