A. Hours: No water shall be used from the town water supply system for irrigation between the hours of eight o'clock (8:00) P.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. The town council, whenever it deems necessary, may further restrict the hours during which irrigation will be permitted. Notice of such restriction is to be given by circulars, printed notices, or by publication in one or more newspapers of general circulation in the town. (1987 Code § 13.04.190)
B. During Fires: It is unlawful for anyone to use water for irrigation or sprinkling purposes during any period when water is being used by the fire department for firefighting or prevention purposes. (1987 Code § 13.04.200)
C. Scope Of Uses: Permission to use water for irrigation purposes shall include watering or sprinkling of premises for lawns or gardens and washing of automobiles or other vehicles, but shall not include the sprinkling of sidewalks, streets, or any other wasteful use of water. (1987 Code § 13.04.210)
D. Nozzle Required: All uses of water for irrigation shall be through a good and sufficient hose, or similar device, which shall be kept in good repair and condition. Each hose or other device shall have a nozzle attached thereto. The total flow of water from said hose and nozzle shall not exceed the flow from a nozzle having a one-fourth inch (1/4") opening.
