5-1-6: INTERFERING WITH POLICE:
Whoever in the town resists any police officer or member of the police department in the discharge of his duties or who in any way interferes with or hinders or prevents him from discharging his duties, and whoever in any manner assists any person to escape or attempt to escape from custody, or rescues or attempts to rescue any person in custody of a police officer, shall be punished according to the provisions set forth in section 1-4-1 of this code.
