Whoever violates any provision of this chapter shall be fined fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. In default of the payment of such fine, such person shall be imprisoned for a period not to exceed five days for each offense. A daily occurrence will be computed as one that occurs between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 12:00 midnight of the same calendar day.
