351.17 COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.
   (a)   Council hereby prohibits the parking of trucks (except a pick-up truck), semi-trailer, commercial tractor or any vehicle having a width greater than seven feet at any time on any property zoned as Residential Districts A, B or C, other than while actually engaged in loading or unloading. Parking of the aforementioned vehicles on property zoned as a Commercial or Industrial District is prohibited except vehicles owned or leased by a business located within a Commercial or Industrial District may be parked on the property owned or leased by said business.
   (b)   In the case of an emergency where it is impractical or impossible to remove the truck (except a pick-up truck), semi-trailer, commercial tractor or any other vehicle having a width greater than seven feet, it shall be the affirmative obligation of the owner or operator of the vehicle to immediately notify the Police Department of the emergency, the location and advise of the efforts which are being made to permit the movement of said vehicle at the earliest possible time. This shall include the obligation of the owner or operator to arrange for towing or other movements to accomplish the result of the herein prohibited parking practices.
   (c)   As used herein, the term "pick-up truck" means a two axle, four tire pick-up, panel or light truck, which has operating characteristics similar to those of a passenger car.
   (d)   Whoever violates this section shall be subject to the same penalty provisions as set forth in Section 303.99. (Ord. 2756. Passed 11-9-94.)
